First Stitches

We've now sustained our first stitches in the Olson family (well, Luke and I have both had them before, but not since we've been married). :'( Clara dropped a heavy bookend on her right big toe this morning, giving herself a 3/4 inch long gash on the tip of her toe which included splitting the whole toenail from top to bottom. Thankfully, none of the nail needed to be removed but the gash in her toe required one stitch to hold it together and stop the bleeding. My poor sweet girl was so brave at the doctor's, holding super still for everything he had to do, although she cried almost the whole time. Rips this mama's heart to shreds. But new bandaids (notice the loving look) and medicine make everything better!

 

Despite it all, she woke up from her nap laughing. Love that little girl! And tomorrow we go to Gramma's!!!
